Our client is looking for a talented and innovative Communications Specialist 2 with a strong background in data journalism and proficiency in using AI/Copilot tools to join our dynamic team.

As a Communications Specialist 2 (Data Journalist – Leveraging GenAI/Copilot), you will play a critical role in creating data-driven content that highlights key insights and trends within the industry. You will be responsible for utilizing GenAI and Copilot tools to enhance content creation processes, ensuring accuracy, engagement, and relevance. Your expertise in data analysis and journalism will help deliver compelling stories that resonate with audiences and supports strategic communication objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data-Driven Content Creation: Develop, write, and edit high-quality content that translates complex data into compelling narratives for various platforms, including articles, reports, infographics, and other content.
  • AI/Copilot Utilization: Leverage AI and Copilot tools to streamline content creation processes, enhance data visualization, and ensure the accuracy and quality of the information presented.
  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can be translated into engaging content. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all communications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to gather relevant data and insights. Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to align content with overall strategy and goals.
  • Content Strategy: Contribute to the development and execution of content strategies that align with company objectives. Identify opportunities for leveraging data to support storytelling and engagement initiatives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all content is fact-checked, well-researched, and adheres to journalistic standards and ethical guidelines.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data journalism and AI tools. Proactively suggest and implement improvements to content creation processes.

Qualifications:

  •  3+ years of experience in data journalism, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience using AI/Copilot tools for content creation.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and AI/Copilot technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $28 to $29/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
