Overview: This role will support our company-wide marketing efforts, encompassing branding, coordinating proposal requests, and creating and maintaining various marketing and sales materials such as social media content, brochures, flyers, advertisements, newsletters, event invitations, team resumes, and website updates. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strong writing skills, and a proactive approach to enhancing our branding and marketing communications initiatives.

Responsibilities: The Content Marketing Specialist role is multifaceted, involving a variety of tasks and deliverables that support our business development, marketing, and digital communications efforts:

  • Business Development: Responsible for coordinating Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), including planning, writing, organizing, and gathering information from internal teams. This includes supporting project teams in preparing for interviews, developing presentations aligned with our brand standards, and ensuring effective delivery and communication of all materials. Additionally, design, development, and maintenance of internal corporate resumes for team members are key responsibilities.
  • Marketing & Digital: This aspect involves developing content calendars, implementing marketing strategies, maintaining and updating our website, creating and managing social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube), and potentially producing and editing company videos. Maintenance of digital asset databases, project files, photos, and our inventory of marketing materials and branded apparel are also part of the role.
  • Communications: Primary responsibility for writing and editing internal and external communications, including content creation for company newsletters, proposal responses, marketing collateral (brochures, flyers, advertisements), sponsorship materials, event invitations, and social media posts. This includes collaborating with others on editing and quality control processes to ensure accuracy and consistency in all marketing-related materials.

Qualifications: Our ideal candidate will have approximately 4 years of experience encompassing marketing, creative design, writing, and social media. While a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory. A strong portfolio demonstrating creative design and marketing communications work is essential. Key qualifications include:

  • Proficiency in Canva, Adobe suite is a bonus
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, adept at both creative and technical writing
  • Experience in the construction industry or related sectors, or a solid understanding of construction practices, is advantageous
  • Familiarity with CRM databases; knowledge of Unanet (formerly Cosential) is a plus
