Aquent Studios Engagement Manager  

 

Overview of Role

The Engagement Manager (EM) will lead our Aquent Studios embedded agency solution to support a large client engagement. The EM is the key client relationship manager interfacing daily with client managers, our team, and stakeholders to ensure that our agency delivers high quality work and customer satisfaction.

The EM will oversee and be accountable for a dedicated team(s) of project managers, UX designers, copywriters, content producers, and other roles as needed to create the various and evolving deliverables for Microsoft content marketing, with an emphasis on Web property management and release. This person will meet with clients regularly to assess the workstreams and upcoming projects to ensure the right team members are assigned and deadlines are met. Although this role is remote, there is a strong preference for candidates in the Puget Sound region.

The EM owns accurate financial management of the engagement, performance management of the team, including resolving HR-related issues, and the continuous improvement of processes and efficiencies. The EM will also be the lead in transitioning, hiring, and on-boarding new members to the team. The EM works with executive leadership to develop, maintain, review and/or disseminate all engagement documentation including business reviews, invoices, and contract change orders.

 

Skills, Knowledge and Experience required for success in this role:

Program Management: 

  • Successful track record in client services: understanding the client’s business with exceptional customer focus, including internal customers.

  • Advanced understanding of program management methodology including the ability to identify and resolve issues, manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, perform resource allocations and run team meetings.

  • Understanding of website management, including design aspects, from ideation to release and beyond. 

  • Understanding of marketing, including all aspects of digital design, including static, motion, and video design and development. 

  • Experience in marketing consulting, agency, or client-side consumer marketing environment.

  • Navigating the client’s internal structure, which will include identifying and partnering with key stakeholders on any given project and facilitating broad communication to eliminate obstacles.

 

Project Management: 

  • Ensure systems and processes are defined, reviewed, improved and maintained efficiently and effectively.

  • Create and maintain all tasks and projects within project management software.

  • Develop reporting specific to the engagement in the project management software.

  • Use data in project management software to evaluate productivity and efficiency.

 

Team Management and Leadership: 

  • Possesses Minimum 5+ years account, team, and delivery management experience with a strong understanding of the talents and experience that make up a high-functioning creative team, and how to allocate those resources to drive success on every project/engagement.

  • Leadership of teams, including providing guidance, coaching, mentoring, and subject matter expertise.

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate with distributed teams in a virtual environment and mentor all levels of team members.

  • Exemplifies grace under pressure, is a natural team leader, and comfortable working directly with clients.

 

Financial Management: 

  • Significant responsibility over team/dept financials and ensuring profitability.

  • Experience with negotiating project scope and associated pricing so work delivers optimal/targets for both our clients and our company.

  • Fast, accurate, and authoritative analysis, forecasting, and decision-making.

 

Compensation Range: $95-110K

The range provided is our reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location.
