Aquent has an EXCITING opportunity for a Junior Product Researcher in Portland, OR!

Please note that this role is HYBRID and you will be asked to work 4 days/week on site at our client’s office.  Please consider this when applying.

To be considered for this role, you MUST:

  • Live in or around Portland, OR and be able to commute to the office 4 days/week.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship of any kind during the entire duration of the assignment
  • Be able to showcase your work through an online portfolio and/or case studies.

The nature of the work is focused on research and development of products from conception to retail to meet the needs of accounts and consumers. You will be asked to carry out foundational research in kinesiology and biometrics, which fuels and supports the overall innovation agenda resulting in creating functionally superior creative product. You will use biomechanical and physiological equipment to conduct leading- edge experiments to collect data contributing to the research and development of new technologies. You will also be asked to demonstrate a high level of initiative in performing experiments independently, summarizes data from research, and assist in preparation of reports to present results of independent experiments and findings at department level.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage day-to-day logistics and support data collection & analysis for sports research programs.
  • Interact with researchers, athletes, and other staff to communicate study details, troubleshoot equipment, and provide updates.
  • Oversee inventory management of research tools and product.
  • Summarize and visualize data from research.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiarity with biomechanics, performance research, wearable sensors, motion capture, and force plates.
  • Experience with data processing, aggregation, analysis, and visualization.
  • Working knowledge of programming languages such as Python or MATLAB preferred.
  • High level of initiative and ability to perform tasks independently.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Exposure to industry research preferred.
