  • The project manager is responsible for the workflow of jobs through the agency, inclusive of maintaining the agency’s workflow process and managing the schedules needed to ensure projects are completed on time.
  • The project manager requires superior project management skills. S/he must be a conscientious team player and have expert organizational skills. This person also demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The project manager is a creative problem solver, providing solutions, exhibiting initiative, all while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • The project manager manages and tracks all agency work through proactive collaboration with all agency team members to meet desired project outcomes and deadlines. This person must have experience working in a creative agency and have a foundational understanding of print and digital media workflow.

REPORTS TO: Director of Operations

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

  • Schedule and initiate job kick-off meetings
  • Participate in weekly check-ins to ensure jobs are being prioritized and completed on time
  • Create and maintain detailed records of the life cycle of a job and maintain accurate job information.
  • Source of knowledge for the status of jobs
  • Maintain concise and accurate oral and written communication on all projects ● Primary contact for outside resources such as freelance copywriters, designers and proofreaders
  • Communicate effectively with the team to update progress and/or problems on projects ● Proactively sees potential issues and provides solutions for team members
  • Interface daily with team for job schedules and workflow status, due dates, production details/project specifications, etc.
  • Manage and evaluate staff tasks to ensure that a proper balance is maintained ● Communicate project schedules and status with internal teams on a frequent basis

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of advertising agency project management experience across multiple mediums, including print and digital
  • Strong Digital/Website project management experience
  • Confident, self-motivated, works well within a team environment, and has a positive “can-do” attitude
  • Talented individual who possesses a proactive mindset and internal desire to achieve more as it relates to job performance and execution – goes the extra mile
  • Collaborative and steady disposition; strong interpersonal skills
  • The ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks, manage deadlines, be flexible, problem-solve and have a strong attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office Suite/Google Workspace skills and experience in Project Management software (ie. Function Point, Basecamp, Asana, Wrike, etc.)
  • Represents the company in a professional manner and is eager to help others in the spirit of teamwork.
  • Shows respect for others and is consistent, fair and honest in all business matters and aligns to company values in spirit and behavior.
