The Azure Security team consists of approximately 500 members and growing, is part of a larger company-wide initiative called Secure Future Initiatives (SFI). The team is involved in a reactionary and fast-paced environment due to the nature of security work, emphasizing the importance of security incidents and initiatives to improve security measure

Key projects: This role will contribute to the “monitor and detect” pillar of the SFI. A technical writer is needed to help tell the teams story and be able to synthesize information down to encourage partner teams to put security first. This technical writer will essentially be a ghost writer for the CVP’s communications regarding these efforts.

Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm:
40% of the time will be spent on diving into all the content provided by various sources.
20% will be dedicated to actual writing tasks.
10% will involve reviewing and working with the team to understand the CVPs style and how to gather information effectively.
20% will be spent working with the PM team, possibly attending meetings to understand the effort better.
10% will focus on establishing a rhythm of communication, such as deciding the frequency of newsletters based on feedback.

Candidate Requirements
• Years of Experience Required: 2 overall years of experience in the field.
• Degrees or certifications required: Technical PM certifications is a plus but not required.

Years of Experience
1. Minimum 2 years experience with Technical writer
2. Minimum 2 years experience with Marketing
3. Minimum 2 years experience with Program Management

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $30 to $31/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
